"Beast On The Moon" Completes Italy Tour
The Italian production of Beast on the Moon, as performed at the Centro Teatrale Bresciano, received a short-term touring production of the play throughout venues in Italy. The tour was quite extensive and reached venues in Milan, Genoa, Messina, Palermo, Rome and Beri, among others. This touring production partnered with Teatro Due in Parma, where Richard visited in January of 2018 to see the production for himself.
This was the most extensive tour of a country ever for Beast on the Moon and represents a hallmark for his career and the play. Bravissimo to the performers and the production staff of this show, and we hope to learn more of their successes in the coming years! Here is the notice as found from their website:
Milwaukee, 1921. Aram escaped from the genocide of the Armenian people in which his entire family was murdered. Desperately wants to rebuild a life and a descendants: he decides to marry by proxy an Armenian woman, Seta (Elisabetta Pozzi). The result will be a difficult love story, poised between conflict and silence, tradition and desire for change, pain of the past and hopes for the future. Andrea Chiodi stages a moving text, winner of five Molière awards in France, with the masterly interpretation of one of the greatest actresses in Italian theater.
