"Front Room" Reading at UW Oshkosh
In early May, Richard's new play, Front Room was read before a university crowd of 130 plus as part of the UW Oshkosh English Department creative writing guest artist series. Front Room was recently installed as part of the Ashland, Oregon New Plays Festival Play4 Keeps program of podcasts of new and promising plays available to the public to listen to. The Play4 Keeps podcasts are available to anyone for a nominal subscription charge and may be purchased individually (per play). You can find Front Room on Play4 Keeps here.
"... we had the distinct pleasure of hosting UWO's esteemed professor and award winning playwright Richard Kalinoski for a reading of his play Front Room - a superb play that brings several issues (cutting across different areas of discipline) into the complex dynamic between an aged mother and a devoted daughter, two people who find their commitment to each other tested by death, loss, and a shift in generational expectations''.
